Battery Management System (BMS)
What is Battery Management System?

- BMS refers to the firmware and hardware design which incorporates:
- Constant current-constant voltage (CCCV) charger circuit
- Safety protection and cell balancing circuit
- Firmware of various levels of intelligence
- Highly accurate fuel gauging
- Communication architecture protocols
- The features of a BMS are crucial in optimizing cell performance and prolonging cell life.
- The large price difference between an original and an imitation battery pack for CE devices can often be attributed to the BMS.
- BMS is an energy and monitoring technology that is adaptable to all cell chemistries and is not limited to Polymer Lithium ion cells only.
