George Town: ETI Tech Corporation Bhd, which recently teamed with Nasdaq-listed US electric vehicle maker ZAP (Zero Air Pollution), is planning to expand its manufacturing facility at the Kulim Hi Tech Park next year.

Green batteries to drive ETI's future earnings

ETI Tech Corp Bhd (0118), a battery maker listed on the Ace Market, plans to mass produce "green" batteries that are highly sought-after globally for use in things like electric vehicles, its chief said. It aims for the green batteries, which are based on lithium polymer, to replace commonly used lead acid batteries, which an increasing number of countries, especially in Europe, are prohibiting due to its poisonous content.
